Outreach Missions

How you can get involved

See Mission in Action for information about many ways to get involved.

Local Missions

Local missions focus on our local community in South Frankfort and Franklin County through financial support, and gifts of time and talent.  You will find the people of South Frankfort Presbyterian involved in local organizations such as the Kings Center, the Women's Shelter of Franklin County, Habitat for Humanity, the Emergency Food Pantry, ROSM and many more.

Regional/National Missions

Regional and National missions focus on mission work in the state and southeastern region such as in Kentucky the Buckhorn Children's Center, Bellewood Children's centers and Morris Fork.  South Frankfort church members have participated in hurricane and flood rebuilding projects within the region as a registered mission team with the Presbyterian Diaster Assistance office.

International Missions

SFPC currently supports Amanda Craft as our Presbyterian Missionary in the US/Mexico border ministry and Guatemala.  We also work with organizations such as Rivers of the World International Development and Hope for Tomorrow Children's home in Guatemala.  SFPC sent a team to Hope for Tomorrow in October 2015.  This team of seven SFPC members, built part of a security wall, prepped the second pre-school room, logged in bar code info from donations, and conducted Bible School.  It was a fantastic trip!
